Pattsy Blackman and Peggy Hart are the owners of The Mustard Seed Restaurant. They worked together for years at a downtown Casino in Reno and always took delight in sharing their home cooked dishes with co-workers and friends. The response was always the same from all who enjoyed their food and desserts: "You guys need a restaurant!"
Upon discussing an idea that seemed overwhelming and almost impossible, they agreed together that it could be done and all it would take was the faith of a mustard seed. Thus, a dream was born and from there they grew, learned, and decided together to branch out and open their own establishment. With lots of hard work, dedication, generational family recipes and 18 months of building as a team- faith the size of a mustard seed paid off. And they are now in downtown Reno, with some of the best food you'll ever taste in a great environment as the result of their efforts.
